Children come into our care with a variety of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), including:
- – Domestic Violence
- – Parental abandonment (through divorce or separation)
- – A parent with a mental health condition
- – Victim of abuse (physical, sexual and/or emotional)
- – Victim of neglect (physical or emotional)
- – A member of the household is in prison
- – Growing up in a household in which there are adults experiencing drug use or alcohol problems
